For Christine:
The following is an example of what I use in 2002 to get images stored in a
folder called screens that is directly beneath the current folder (this is
how it looks with Field Codes turned on):
{INCLUDEPICTURE screens\\<filename>.gif \d \* Mergeformat}
Does that help??
Cheers
Carole

I'm not sure what relative links are. If you mean setting the path in the
link, I don't want to do this because the files are stored in several
locations. Even if I standardised on one location, there is no real
discipline in the file structure and there is too much chance of the file
path changing.
I was under the impression that years ago, Word would automatically looked
in folders beneath the current folder if it could not find the file in the
current folder, but this does not seem to happen any more (2002). Does
anyone know how to make it do this?
Christine
