doc or "Insert" them. They arrive as "in line with text." Then, right click
on your image> Format AutoShape> Layout> In front of text> OK. Your image
turns into a floater, and stays where you put it! If you want overlapping
images, callouts, etc, then you still have to juggle the Send behind, Bring
to front, in front/behind text rigmarole, but even that seems to work
better, too.
Unfortunately not entirely so. I think it is more reliable than earlier
versions but still has some serious glitches if it so much as sniffs a page
break somewhere nearby, and still does unreasonable things to your text line
spacing at times.
I have devised my own workarounds and tricks, but sometimes it beats me and
I use a table cell to fix it.
