atw: Re: Word 2003 Form - Calculation result not displayed automatically

Thanks Robyn.

That works. (I had not enabled Calculate on exit on a couple of the
fields).

Unfortunately, though I still can't get some fields to calculate (See 6,
7 and 8 in following).

Value1 (enter $, Calculate on exit)
Value2 (enter Number, Calculate on exit)
Value3 (Calculate =Value1*Value2) <<This works (total displays>>

Value4 (enter $, Calucate on exit)
Value5 (enter $, Calucate on exit)

Value6 (Calculate =Value3+Value4+Value5) <<This doesn't work>>
Value7 (Calculate =Value6*10%) <<This doesn't work>>

Value8 (Calculate =Value6-Value7) <<This doesn't work>>

Also tried, Calculate =SUM(Value3,Value4,Value5)

Diana,
I'm not sure how you created your form but I just set up a sample form
with
the following:

Text1 (text entryfield, set to accept numbers, fill-in enabled checked,
Calculate on exit checked)

Text2 (text entryfield, set to accept numbers, fill-in enabled checked,
Calculate on exit checked)

Text3 (text entryfield, set as Calculation field, Expression
=Text1*Text2)

(created initially as a template, the form locked and then a document
created from the template)

On completing either Text1 or Text2 (and pressing tab to move to next
field), the value in Text3 updates.

HTH,
Robyn
