I don't purport to be speaking on behalf of Micky, but the way I took
the context was "Hi, nice to see you. Sorry it's been such a long time."
And maybe even "I'm sorry 'cos I've been missing your virtual company."

 

The thing, it seems to me, is Micky was creating polite conversation.

"out of context"! Well what was the context? Many subscribers don't post
for weeks or months on end. Do they feel a need to be polite and
apologise for their absence? No. But you do. So what's your special
