Was it on a network drive, remote from the local drive you were working
on at the time? If so, say goodbye... Or go to the computer the drive
the file was on and check the recycle bin (probably not there either).
If Norton you have, lightsabre and the dark side of the force will only
return to you the file. And we all know what happened to Anakin...
Seriously, Norton and MS are likely to have caused you some grief (I
have stopped using all Norton products except on one computer, and that
will stop soon since the live update is now not working...) .
There is some weird new feature on Norton that gives you some bizarre
recycle bin function. My experience is that it doesn't work. and locks
you out of the recycle bin. helpful. You may have lost your file that
way...

I had a cleanup today and naturally cleaned up something I still want.
Rather than do the work again can anyone throw light on why delete has
stopped sending stuff to the delete box. it was working yesterday!!
