  Well, that's a very open question. Depends on the skills of the =20
  person, the needs of the company, whether there's an intermediary, the =20
  duration and the location. Hourly rates vary from a low of about $45 =20
  to highs of over $100. I've heard of agencies charging up to $120 for =20
  ongoing roles (with the writer getting somewhere between $60 and =20
  $80/hour--it's best if you can cut out the middle man). In WA, there =20
  seems to be a shortage so some positions remain listed for months =20
  until the employers raise their rates or lower their standards.

  There does appear to be industry differentials. In my experience, with =20
  a few exceptions, mining and resources tend to pay better than =20
  IT/finance/defence.

  Hourly is much more common than daily or weekly.
