Thanks Sue (Woolley).
What a resource those pages are!
Public Sub BanishWebToolbar()
CommandBars("Web").Enabled =3D False
=20'Change 'False' to 'True' to re-enable the Toolbar
End Sub
worked a treat!
Unfortunately Donald Halley's suggestion regarding the
normal template didn't help in this instance, but it was
certainly worth a try and all such assistance is greatly
appreciated. Thanks to those of you who pitched in
with your ideas.
Cheers,
Michael

Hello Michael,
I came across this link to an article called "How to stop the web toolbar=

from jumping up at you whenever you click on a page number in the table o=

contents" when I was looking for something else. I haven't tried it, but =

am sure it will work.

There are some great articles on Word on this site if you haven't visited=

it before.
