That sounds like a neat way to do this.

I'll give it a try, although I have been avoiding having
more than a passing reliance on the normal template,
because it becomes so abnormal on different machines,
where it picks up so many attributes from varied use
and from other documents.

Will try this later and get back if necessary.

Once you have deleted it.. Hold down the shift key ....  File / Save All =

and that will update your normal.dot.
