In Framemaker, you can identify all the styles used (and all variations
thereof) quite easily. First delete all the paragraph styles.
(Use the delete button for
the first one, then lean on the enter key to get rid of the rest quickly).
Then select
File > Utilities > Create and Apply Formats.
The Paragraph Catalog will then display a separate style for every style
and
variation encountered. You can then use the Edit > Find/Change dialog
and the Paragraph Designer dialog to find and globally update all the
rogue styles.
Repeat the Delete + Create and Apply steps to check that you've got them
all.
Ignore the styles used in the Reference pages if they are in there.
This is a great way to clean up a document when a lot of overrides have
been used and you need to get rid of them.
