Can anyone suggest their favourite ‘freebie’ tools that will get these items
back under control?
I can't speak to image organisation but as far
as bookmarks go, I just use the built-in Firefox
feature that enables you to organize bookmarks by
creating folders and, if necessary, separators
(under Bookmarks->Organize Bookmarks). You can
import bookmarks from other browser and export
the Firefox bookmarks into an HTML file.
And if you install the Xmarks (formerly Foxmarks) extension, you can sync your
bookmarks across computers and operating systems... and login to Xmarks from any
machine and get to your bookmarks that way as well. For my usage patterns, this
is totally brilliant.
