Now there's an area I'd be only too happy to make part of my job! But
Sudoku is now taking over...

Howard,
I think that printer repair skills and paper-unjamming experience would be
part of this list. TWs always seem to become the printer monitors.
Maybe, wordsmith to the crossword addicts.
Must away and write a Merry Christmas sign ...

Thank you, Michael.
After reading this, it dawned on me that the 'technical' part of the term
'technical writer' could actually encompass many other office skills too.
I could have added a whole new section to the skills list for technical
communicators, containing items like:
- a high level of competence with photocopier, dishwasher and
coffee-machine technology (including managing systems for reordering
supplies)
- ability to set up and maintain technologically advanced footy tipping
and sweepstake management systems
- updating (very technical) CVs for senior and middle managers
- extensive familiarity with a wide range of inexpensive nerd-oriented
gadgetry suitable as leaving presents
I'm sure others can suggest many similar skills for this part of the list.
What would be a good heading to lump these skills under?
