atw: Re: Tell the U.S. Marines to Getz Tuft

Phew ATW Guys & Gals.

Can't we take two (s)paces back
and bring this to a full stop.

Sounds like it's a matter of
personal or client / customer preference to me.

The rigid-set
mono-spaced type versus variably spaced type argument sounded like a valid
one, provided that the text is not justified.

Hey, I usually
make use of two spaces after the sentence ending full point because, well,
I started with a manual typewriter and it is a habit.  One goes
usually goes with what one is used to because it seems right to the author
/ typist / typesetter.  Also, like much other forms of punctuation,
the extra spacing provides a bit of "breathing space" between
two statements pertaining to a common theme.  When changing the theme
or concept, it is usually time for a new paragraph instead (perhaps with a
subheading between).

Well, that's my 0.02 worth for now.
Hope I made my point (.) _ _ .  ;-)

Cheers,

Micky G.

P.S.  That subject line of Brian (C's) makes me
recall a little number plate suggestion from some time ago.  Perhaps
we should not go there.
