Housing is more expensive.
Fuel is near $2.00 a litre.
Food is more expensive.
Salaries are lower - unless you have in-demand rare skills, like =
technical
writers, but there are not many roles.
Work is more interesting, as there are more govt incentives to invest in =
new
industries and ideas.
Nice people in general.

I was looking at moving to the South Island a few years ago, =
Christchurch.
There was some roles available but the standard of living was going to =
be
difficult. Auckland/Palmerston/Wellington is a better choice.

anyone know what the emplyment possibilities are in New Zealand.

Not that I'm thinking of moving there right now, but NZ is not far away, =

there is a TCANZ and an STCNZ, and it was definitely a very nice place =

travel around a few years ago.
