for Def(Aust)5629 documents. This is described in Def(Aust)5629B Section 3.
Chapter 2, Table 2-1 (Air), Table 2-3 (Land), Table 2-4 (Maritime). This is the 


same for AAP5030.001 (Air Force Pubs).






Either above or below the table is correct



for ADFP documents (see ADFP102 Part 4 Ch 1, para 1.49).

I'ma tech writer who edits reports for the
Australian Defence Force (as read by the Capability Development Group) and we 


have a debate in theoffice as to where the table caption should go.

















I always thought table captions should go above



the table.

















Is there a style guide/ref for this? I



looked in ADFP 102 but there was only content about the format of the



caption, not where it goes. Is it in DEF(AUST) 5629B?
