What value is a wiki? There is no peer review. There is no superior review. It's just a bunch of people using a piece of software to get themselves published without the usual quality controls that apply to material worth valuing. Most of the time, you cannot even tell the auspices of the writers. So, according to Tony, collaboration is the main arbiter of value - whoa, since when was collaboration an arbiter of quality? The only value I place on a wiki is to see that it appears - I don't value the content. In fact, I don't even repeat to anyone else what I may have seen on a wiki for fear that I might be somehow seen to endorse a view expressed there.
