You've covered the most obvious uses for section breaks that I use.
The only other scenario where I would regularly use a section break is when I
need to have one or more Landscape pages in a primarily Portrait document, for
example when I have a page that has a table that is too wide for a Portrait
page.

Guys, bear with me for another apparently dumb question.
Is there any reason why you would use a section break in a short document?
The competencies for the Word course I am writing require me to cover Section
Breaks, but nowhere in the course do I have a document long enough to warrant
sections. The competencies do not require table of contents or index,
different headers and footers, forcing odd or even pages at the start of
genuine sections etc. Any ideas?
Regards
Christine
