Are you by any chance resizing the images in Snagit before you save them?
That will introduce moiré effects, and a lot of screen text is only 1 pixel
wide to start with.
So do your resizing as late as possible, once only, in Frame.

Still, avoid .jpg for this purpose. It's a lossy format and intended for
'toney' images, like photos (and there is a lossless option with jpeg2000
but Snagit appears not to use it), so you're throwing information away
unnecessarily. Use a lossless format. If the palettes can be got right, .gif
will be fine, but .png can handle full RGB colours, compresses very nicely,
and is universally accepted so I reckon it's the one to use.
