I have to agree whole heartedly with you Allen.  I am amending a manual
with a proliferation his examples and it is more than a little
frustrating.  Especially in the context they have been used!  In many
areas, the intent has been lost because of this manner of expression.

But  will this keep me employed for a while?  You bet!
