Well, I mangled my *favourite* mangling yesterday. While we're on the topic of killers such as spiders, snakes, and terrorists, I note that Stuart brought cigarettes into the fray (well almost). I read somewhere that in Australia each year we lose about 20,000 lives prematurely due to cigarettes; in the US it's something like 450,000 (with 35,000 of those due to secondhand smoke--and that's more than they lose to firearms). Makes the other causes of death pale into insignificance.
