atw: Re: SEC: UNCLASS Pet hates

This one is neither technical, nor written, and is at its irritating best
if delivered in a sticky sweet, bubbly squeal. My pet peeve would be the
words "go" and "goes? as a replacement for "said", usually accompanied
by an excessive amount of ?like? (having nothing to do with affection).
?So, like, I go...? ??and then like, he goes??
In my neck of the woods, the younger crew use ?go/goes? with such
regularity (in what passes for speech) that I'm not certain that they even
realize that the word ?said? is a part of the language.
Ranks right up there with finger nails on the black board.
