Indeed, Warren (L) & Christine (K)

Inevitably, Word files come back to haunt you in
some horridly altered state (altered by someone else)
with your name still embedded as their author.

My policy is to only ever send out PDFs.
(They also cannot pick up the attributes of changed
Normal.DOT templates on other people's PCs and
won't "repaginate" to suit the selected Windows
virtual printer at the recipient site in question or
display incorrectly due to the reciepient's lack of
installed standard / non-standard / recent version fonts.)

The reason Word docs change on every PC they land on,
is because the local version / installation of Word seeks
the above attributes and more before opening a doc or dot file.

PDFs, on the other hand, are stable on every modern platform,
never bite back (and rarely demand the latest version before they
can be opened) plus you can never be accused of sending
anyone a VB macro virus.

Cheers,
