Yeah - that was the theory I was applying, wanted confirmation, managed one
at least :-) Unfortunately I have discovered that pure logic doesn't apply
to the realm of either personal psychology or social dynamics :-)

Anyways, to answer the side question. Assuming cheap airfares, reasonable
accom prices and a three day stay, you organise the location / hardware to
present at / with, about $2500 for a small group in Perth. For groups over
30, it's a flat $1000 / day plus all reasonable expenses AND buy me a drink
or twenty :-) For periods exceeding 3 days, my wife has to come as well.
That means we can con her into doing wicked Thai banquets, it'll cost you a
fraction of what catering would cost otherwise, but you may not have a
'meals included' policy. I'm SLOWLY teaching her French and Italian cooking,
cordon bleu is next on the list but that is still a year away :-)

I am praying by next week I have my new pre-release software so I can re-do
the website. It is a well-known package that I have spent some considerable
efforts to ensure it has real-world required features. Some of these have
finally arrived and the designer is wrapping me up a special pre-release
with a dinky di serial number as the build has not been formalised yet. A
few reg hacks, copy a few files, wave a magic wand - viola. Doc to web site
@ host. Front Page etc kiss my butt.

The presenting rates won't change though :-)

If you're getting paid, get it right, even for mechanics. If you don't,
there'll always be a smartarse out there who'll diss you for getting the
spelling wrong.

BTW, how many paying participants would you need to do a training course
(especially coding macros) in Perth?
