Hi Steve and Warren,
I had misgivings about sending my email because I suspected it might provoke
a personal and nasty response. I'm afraid that, as a techwriter, I don't see
anything so terrible about pointing out a misspelling in the same email
where others' misspellings are referred to. By pointing out the irony of
misspelling "misspelling" I'm not implying that Warren sends out work with
misspellings (not that I think that it is a great crime to do so anyway
because people can be good techwriters without having good spelling and a
spell-checker does not pick up everything) and I'm aware that when you're
writing on a list you don't check everything carefully. I've learnt my
lesson and I will avoid posting anything that I suspect might antagonise
like this because I don't like being addressed in a nasty and personal way.
Regards,
Petra
