Brian, what sort of dried grass were you talking about? I can think of some
forms of dried 'grass' which have a profound effect on intelligence.

All this discussion of put, place, add, position, etc is a bit metaphorical.
All you are doing is changing the name of the file. Even when you delete the
file, you are only changing its name till you clear your Rubbish bin. So,
any word that conveys your intention is OK - it really depends on the user -
certainly nothing to do with some spurious alleged professionalism. And if
your users have the intelligence of dried grass - like some I worked with
recently - then agree one word with them, and, as Warren did, choose a
different word to wake them from their 24/365.25 torpor.
