atw: Re: Print-ready in Word

Many, many moons ago (years--maybe five or six!) I remember someone
writing about a plugin that would do this. Of course I can't remember
what it was called--sorry. Don't give up though! I'm sure there is (or
at least was) a way.

Dominic, it sounds as if the answer is No. That doesn't surprise me,
although my experience doesn't extend to Word 2004. The problem is that
Word is not really a desktop publishing system. You may get a workaround
from the suggestions made here, but what you're asking for is easily
done in the old PageMaker (I've done exactly what you describe) or
InDesign.

Maybe the current MS Publisher has that feature, too. You may be able to
import your Word text and set up the imposition etc. in Publisher, if
you have it.
