Yes this is correct. It buried deep within the part of the Word Object
Model and is known as DetectCurrentMentalStateOfUser. It works by
monitoring and detecting any rapid increase in the number of keystrokes,
the velocity of keys being struck, increase in number of mouse clicks,
number and type of formatting changes made in the current Word session,
and number of times you searched for Louis Vitton handbags or cheap
software on eBay. Some example code:
Sub DetectCurrentMentalStateOfUser ()
If SearcheBayThisWeek=None And
IncreaseInKeystrokes=ALot And
PlaneLeavingForMyHolidayDestination=Tonight And
UserStrikingKeys=VeryHard Then
CurrentMentalStateOfUser=PanickedBecauseDeadlineAppraoching
If CurrentMentalStateOfUser=PanickedBecauseDeadlineAppraoching
Then Do
MS Gremlin
MS Bug
Network Outage
PaperJam
For AVeryLongTime
End Sub

Bob's absolutely correct.
Deeply embedded in the very architecture of MS Word, it has been fully
embraced by MS as a primary focus for developers.
Consequently, it is fully supported by MS developers, and consistently
updated in every version, patch, security fix and any other bloody thing
coming from MS...
It is guaranteed to affect you when you least require the appearance of
it.
This feature is called "MS Gremlin" or "MS bug".
Yours, still basking in the afterglow on the second day of the Second
Age of Australian Football "Out of Wilderness".
