If I use PowerPoint to support a talk, and intend to distribute it
separately, I generally include enough supporting detail so the slides
are capable of communicating on their own. According to some
presentation guru's this makes the slides "busy", but in my introductory
comments to a talk based on the slides, I explain this and suggest that
they not try to read the slides as I talk, but use them for later
review.
