Hey Brian,
Christine sent a post about the empty page you get when the content of the
previous section finishes on an odd page in verso-recto formatted templates.
It is a bug, and Word will invariably leave you with a mysterious page
devoid of formatting and essentially absent from the document if you end
with a Odd page section break.
To see the empty pages, use Print Preview, which will demonstrate the
verso-recto formatting as it will print out. What you will find is a blank
page that should be formatted with even number pagination but instead -
nothing. The other hint in View > Normal or View > Print is a jumped page.
So you will go from; say, 3-33, 3-34, 3-35 then immediately to 4-1, and no
3-36.
You can force it to cooperate using combinations of keep with next and keep
lines together to stretch the content to extend naturally onto the absent
even page, or insert a page break, (Ctrl + Enter) and add a single paragraph
mark on this deliberately created page to force Word to actually format I
with headers and footers.
I suppose you could add the "This page, like your mind, is deliberately
blank" diatribe although I doubt either of us would even if compelled to by
a Taliban AK47. These are one of the serial pests (the pagination and the
blank mind thing) I find with Word and I am grateful clients are more
liberated over that style of presentation. It is a major nuisance at times.
Everyone, I really miss Michael Granat too. I checked out his phone number,
Write Ideas, in the phone book and it is still listed, so might give him a
call some time soon. I know his personal circumstances have been difficult
over the years. I have not heard from Steve Hudson for some time either.
Which is a bit of a worry.
Hope everyone is well out there...
Warren.

Hi folks,
Thanks for confirming what I had already tried - Section break, odd page.
The problem I faced was that neither hard copy printing nor .pdf printing
gave me the desired effect - all blank pages disappeared.
What have I missed?
Brian.
