Yes, I am staying with Symantec for the time being, however I echo your 
concerns. 
They are not testing code properly. 
The system is bloated and CPU resource usage is inefficient these days.
Especially when power users are using their products. I regularly have to 
turn all the symantec products off, which is extremely frightening. 
My next purchase cycle will be viewing security packages more closely.
Norton is no longer in the "happy with it, no need to look for something 
else" bracket.
