'Simple uninstall' and 'Norton' in the same breath - wow! Short of
reformatting my hard drive there was no way I could get rid of a free trial
version (someone else may have been able to find out where the date control
was hidden, but I could not) so I had to buy an off the shelf box as the
only way of over-ruling the date limitation (I was in a hurry - that's my
excuse).
And 'technical support' and 'Norton' in the same breath - a novel concept!
Nonetheless, as far as I know, no virus has made it through onto my
computer.

I agree..........the Norton Internet Security is incredibly slow and causes
all kinds of problems.
It is also rather hard to get rid of once it is on your system. You cant
just do a simple uninstall. I got my money back, and got rid of it, but
Symantec mucked me around enormously and I really would not recommmend this
product or their customer/technical support service.
Likewise, I am looking for a suitable firewall that is safe and wont eat up
resources.
