i'm using norton on my mac, because that seemed to be the only product
around for the mac. i have the full anti-virus/firewall package. i
haven't noticed it slowing anything down - it searches every disc i put
in, but then, i set to do that. i haven't fully figured out the
firewall, but then i haven't spent a lot of time on it, and has been
fairly easy to train so far...

I agree..........the Norton Internet Security is incredibly slow and
causes=20
all kinds of problems.
It is also rather hard to get rid of once it is on your system. You
cant=20
just do a simple uninstall. I got my money back, and got rid of it,
but=20
Symantec mucked me around enormously and I really would not recommmend
this=20
product or their customer/technical support service.
Likewise, I am looking for a suitable firewall that is safe and wont eat
up=20
resources.
