A lot of the documents I have seen lately have double spaces between sentences. Are they making a comeback, or am I just dealing with dinosaurs?

In UNIX world, a 'sentence' is defined to be a string ending in a period and two spaces. A 'paragraph' ends with a period and two CR/LF (carriage return/linefeed). This is very useful for parsing purposes, and looks ok in blocks of monospaced text.

It's usually pretty easy to run a macro in most WP applications to change the double space to a single space after a period, and change the double CR/LF to a single.
