Absolutely correct, and pretty important in tight times. Trainers and writers
tend to be at the bottom of the employment tree: last on, first off. And
when times are tight or recovery is on the way, one common management reaction
is to try to combine the two roles. (Recent job listings showed evidence of
this about 2 months ago. ) No reason the two jobs shouldn't work
hand-in-hand... and chances are you'll pick up important stuff from the Cert IV
course. (Even if, after a while, you start screaming when you hear the word
"outcomes"!).
