atw: Re: OT: Viruses

Well Elizabeth (F)

You might well do so but, in the early version of Open Office that I last
encountered (WinDoze 95) didn't make use of the dot DOT templates, and
only marginally supported the opening of specific (earlier) Word DOC file
versions and RTF files. Plus the output never looked, formatted or
paginated quite the same as in Word, which is why I stuck with Word.

Also what made me uninstall OO was its horrid, MSIE style, all-in-one
browser based GUI, something that I had tried so hard to purge, along
with MSIE itself from my MS P of C.

Anyway, if the Word template files are not supported, what's the point?

Although it might not support the Word macro viruses, too.

Cheers,
