atw: Re: OT: Online shopping (was Musical ignorance)

or you could have just popped into gaslight on bourke st, which is who
chaos was... (don't know who they are now.)

jb is usually pretty cheap, and a good bet if you can't be bothered
shopping around. i sometimes use www.atlanticdvd.com.au for upcoming
dvds if they look well-discounted (pre-orders have free shipping).

if you're into online shopping, www.getonce.com.au does price
comparisons of a lot of Oz/NZ online sellers for books, dvds and cds.

I used to be a big user of Chaos Music until recently, when they made an
absolute mess of their Web site (which used to work so beautifully)
after moving their data operations from Victoria to Queensland and,
simultaneously, changed their pricing structure (how much you spend
before the delivery charges disappear) to make it no longer cost
effective for me to deal with them, when compared with driving a
couple of minutes to JB Hi-Fi <http://www.jbhifi.com.au/> or walking
around to my neighbourhood DSE PowerHouse <http://www.dse.com.au/>.
