Hi Michael, Sonja,
I use Firefox almost exclusively, however I do have some comments about
Michael's response.
I'm not sure how Firefox is cheaper, since it needs to be downloaded in
addition to a Windows installation, and standards compliance in the
greater WWW is almost irrelevant as many sites write to be compatible with
IE rather than the W3C standards. For instance, I have to use IE for my
online banking as my banks site does not cooperate with Firefox or other
browsers very well at all.
I'm no Microsoft junkie (I fear to openly admit to such on this list would
be flame inducing) however IE and Firefox in concert on your system will
handle all tasks nicely. The optional plug-ins available for Firefox at
https://addons.update.mozilla.org/ are numerous, wide-reaching and simple
to use.
My 2c,
Ryan

I use it, and recommend it, for several reasons:
It's cheaper.
It's more reliable.
It's standards-compliant.
It's more efficient.
It's not Microsoft (which is another way of saying "all of the above").
I'm aware of the strong support for Opera, but the fact that Firefox is
Mozilla means it has a certain pedigree -- a history of development --
that
has obvious consequences.
