Look in the Word (version 2003 onwards) Tools
> Options > File Locations tab for the paths where it looks for
template files.

Write them down on some paper (or copy, then
paste into notepad on screen if you like.)

Close Word.

Delete normal dot dot where it lives.

Empty the rubbish bin
on your MS WinDoze P of C.

Run Word.

(Press
Flag+R for the Run prompt; type winword
/n; press Enter, is my favourite way to do
so as it opens Word without the new doc window. Then open your most recent
doc from the file menu and press Shift+F5 to take you
back to the editing point you were at when you closed it.)
