And even more bizarre: the two threads which surface in some surprisingly negative reader comments to the Herald article:
1. that the Myer signage grammar was deliberate, and intended to elicit publicity (an opinion apparently justified on the basis that it worked).
2. that anyone who complains about bad grammar needs to get a life.I thought only butcher's and fruiterer's had been given social approval to be so grammatically cavalier.
