My original advice to Martin - my personal
opinion - still stands, unchanged and unapologetic, and written in full
authenticity and integrity.  So you can all stop bullying, ridiculing and
misquoting. I will not cave in. 

Ridiculing, maybe. Bullying??? Disagreement by
several people independently does not constitute
bullying. However, the fact that so many people
independently reacted as they did should be an
indication that if you want people to take your
opinions seriously, and realize that they are
opinions, you might want to reconsider the *ahem*
emphatic phrasing you use to present them.
