As I mentioned in my original message, answers to questions frequently
stray off the path, making it an arduous task to sift through a whole
thread to find an answer.

As I mentioned in my original message, every time someone says "my list
numbers don't work in Word", the same people repost the same answers as
the previous time the question was asked. This way we only have to put
down the answers once. And then if someone comes across a new and
improved method, for a different version of Word, for example, they can
put that there, too. All in one place.

As I mentioned in my original message, hosting the thing would be the
main issue. Perhaps it could be sponsored by the various ASTCs?

As I mentioned in my original message, I have previously set one up. I
didn't mention that it wasn't difficult, so I'll mention it now - it
wasn't difficult.

Oh, and I don't recall suggesting that our beleaguered list moderator
take on this task. Though some contact/coordination between the two
would be a good thing. Once set up, it should require almost no
administration. As everyone will have access to change things - it will
basically administer itself. The only administration it might require is
reloading an earlier version if a random deleter comes along. But then,
we can arrange different access settings.

Exactly why I provided, in my original message, some links for people to
look at, to encourage informed discussion.

"Read the f***ing message"?
