I've always thought that Method 1 and related methodologies such as Method E etc were all proprietary methodologies developed and sold by Andersen Consulting, now Accenture. I may be wrong, but it could be a reason why you can't find a website or an explanation - you'd need to join Accenture first. Correct me if I'm wrong.
