Hi Rod,
I would like to learn what Ilana meant.
What it is alleged to 'mean' in a different context may not be very relevant.
I'm not aware that Roman Catholicism constitutes judeochristianity. Confession
is a catholic-specific mechanism for divestment of guilt which has no parallel
in any of the jewish or christian writings.
