"Knowledge management is the creation, storage, transmission and retrieval
of media."
And by that definition, I really could use Windows Live as a KMS, even
FaceBook at a pinch.
I have been trying to look at OneNote to see if it is part of a Microsoft
solution. Have downloaded it but can't get it working - anyone using
OneNote who can help?

Hi Christine
Yes, understood.
The question of knowledge is a philsophical question - an ontological notion
- which asks 'how do we in fact know (anything)? Many have pondered this and
the debate still rages.
For users I would use a sensory approach: computer systems manage media
forms such as images and text derived from data.
We essentially make media from what we see and hear - primary data.
