Hi John,
Until you find an open source solution, try the free MS Office PDF creation
add-in.

Subject: atw: Keep hyperlinks in PDFs from Visio
Hi All,
Does anyone know of open-source PDF creation software that will enable me to
convert a Visio file with hyperlinks into a PDF and keep those hyperlinks in
the PDF.
A colleague at work has done a lot of testing with open-source PDF creation
software but has not found anything that does this, although he knows that
Acrobat Professional will do the trick.
But we are looking first at an open-source package.
Is there such an application?
