atw: Re: Kaspersky evaluation

Kaspersky is an anti-virus product, maybe by Russian authors. It has a
reputation of being a good virus catcher but a burden on the machine where
it's running. The company file server of a client has Kaspersky running on
it, and it clogs the machine performance and weirdly stops some software
from running (such as the remote desktop that a contractor uses). We
considered it for our use, but found AVG free edition to be much more
lightweight and unobtrusive (and it's free).

I had such a lot of trouble with Norton on my old computer I had Kaspersky
put onto my new computer. This was recommended by the techo who built my
computer. Before I buy it and lock myself in has anyone out there Kaspersky
comments??
