atw: Re: Kaspersky evaluation

Hi Jill

I was a Norton user for many years - until it turned into a memory pig
and ate half my RAM. I switched to Kaspersky and it was less intrusive
and more memoty efficient than the Norton that was around a year ago (I
was still using Norton at work). =20

After my Kaspersky sub ran out I did some research a few months ago
(mostly in the PC user mags and some IT technical websites) and took a
punt on AVG for home use - and it has worked better than either Norton
or Kaspersky for me. I think the most important thing I picked up from
doing the research is that you need to adopt a layered approach
encompassing protection from not just viruses but also adware and email
protection. I run AVG daily and two different adware products (Spybot
Search and Destroy and Lavasoft Ad Aware)on a weekly basis. =20

So far so good.

Sincerely

Hi Jill

Don't know about Kaspersky, but can recommend AVG (my PC guru recommends
and uses it).

I had such a lot of trouble with Norton on my old computer I had
Kaspersky put onto my new computer. This was recommended by the techo
who built my computer. Before I buy it and lock myself in has anyone out
there Kaspersky comments??
Cheers
Jill
