My interim work included delivering junk mail on a postie bike.
Great fun but poor pay. Only required a bike licence.
One advantage is that it is very casual. Taking a day or a few hours off
for interviews was never a hassle. Answering a mobile phone while working
was good - the person phoning had no idea where you were.
One current workmate was delivering pizzas in the evenings so he had the day
free for interviews and so on.
Other chap did night packing in the supermarket - but there the cheap 15
year olds have the advantage - they are CHEAP.
I have worked at a fast food place that happened to be run by an experienced
restauranter, and he accepted my challege - I claimed I could do the work of
four 15 year olds in less time. It worked and I did the evening shift, then
all the cleaning and walked out early. He always paid me for the full
shift.
