Thanks for all that, Michael
By coincidence, I was wrestling with a sort-of-similar problem
yesterday. Software opens Word, opens a template, enters data from the
application, and saves as a doc. It works faultlessly on Word 97, which
is the default Word in this place. On a PC with Word 2002 installed,
the macro won't save the doc.
I don't know how many PCs have Word 2002, but since we found two in the
development group, we have to cover the possibility that one of our
users will have one. Murphy's Law, and all that.
Thanks to Michael, Neil Maloney and others who helped Michael, we have
some leads to follow.
Thanks!
Allan
