atw: Re: How do they look inside the Large Hadron Collider?

Well, yes and no, Dominic Lowe.

There might well be a boom boom but, should a black hole form within the LHC, the sound waves would be sucked in before they could escape its gravitational pull.

If a black hole forms in a Swiss forest, does it make a sound or, like my hideous pun, are we all sucked in at once?

Cheers,

Micky G.
