atw: Re: Hidden text in PDF?

I just have an explanation on the front page about printing the document
because it is designed to be printed double sided like a book. If I don't put
that explanation in we get a stack of complaints about the 'missing' blank
pages in the document. I could put "this page left intentionally blank" but
that still doesn't get people to print it out the correct way. I figure the
explanation only needs to appear on screen, not in the print out.

I can put some instructions with a link to the PDF, but this doesn't cater for
people who search and just get the PDF, completely bypassing the instructions.

Deborah, can you tell us what you want to use this for? Acrobat has some
very basic annotation tools and you can control what gets printed, but it's
hard to know whether these would suit your purpose. Could you just create
separate versions for printing and viewing, as is the case with some web
pages?

Cheers

Stuart
